Center for Women's Global Leadership / 16 Days Campaign
The Center for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL) is a feminist organization dedicated to strengthening and bridging voices for human rights to promote social justice and self-determination. Affiliated with Rutgers University, CWGL conducts research and convenes feminists in the Global South and North to explore and exchange ideas. The organization sees itself as a collaborator and works in partnership with women around the world. It is the coordinator of the Feminist Alliance for Rights (FAR) and the creator and global coordinator of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, currently in 187 countries with over 6000+ participating organizations every year.
I was assigned by the organization to refresh the 16 Days Campaign logo while maintaining a connection to the original logo, as well as creating various campaign tools and executions.
The new logo represents hope and power with its 16 yellow rays. The '16' letterforms symbolize women, standing tall and confident in protecting their rights. The circle is maintained to provide focus and to reflect the global reach of the cause and the campaign.
