In October 2008 Everyday Health and Revolution Health have announced their merger, creating a consumer health website designed to challenge WebMD. The goal was to create an on-line health destination that will serve as a medical reference source as well as playing a greater role in consumers’ own health management. Under the company’s mission of ‘inspiring and empowering people to live their healthiest lives, every day’ a new identity was needed to convey this message and to appeal to people in a relevant and meaningful way. The company’s ambition was (and still is) to bridge the gap between lifestyle and medical sites, delivering trusted health information as well as fun-to-read tips and insights that make life a little easier. The seven colorful seeds in the logo symbolize the seven days of the week and tie it closely with the name. Together they create a spark that represents new ideas and inspiration for healthy lifestyle.
